As the story goes with many koi enthusiasts it was/is the PASSION for koi keeping that has lead me up to this point in my life. My interest in koi began at age 12 with a 29 gallon fish tank given to me by my grandfather. Over the next six years, I convinced my father to help build two 300 gallon and one 600 gallon pond as I  established my
own koi business supplying local pet stores.After college, and the necessary preparations to enter medical school, I began interviewing for positions. Before making my final decision my wife told me, “if you aren’t 100% sure that you want to be a doctor you better not do it because I don’t want to go through all of the headaches…you should do what you have Passion for.” I knew; 2 months later we packed up and moved back home to Hawaii. Back in Hawaii, I expanded my past operation 100 fold and took on a
business partner, Joshua Hikida. Since
